Casuals are coming home!

Walton Casuals will open the brand new Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub when hosting Horsham on Saturday 9 September.

After two years away from Walton-on-Thames, and groundshares at Merstham, Whyteleafe and Cobham, the Stags are finally coming home to Waterside Drive!

The Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub, developed on the site of the former Waterside Stadium, will provide excellent public facilities for not only Walton Casuals, but also Walton & Hersham, Walton Athletics Club and the local community.

The new stadium allows the 35 Walton Casuals Juniors teams to all train and play in one location close to home, through two full-size 3G pitches and a grass pitch. These have the potential to become smaller pitches and welcome smaller sided games.

Adjacent to the main football pitch, the Xcel Sports Hub also offers an 8-lane floodlit athletics track and field sports arena in the centre. The ground offers excellent seating for supporters, but the option to get closer to the action is always available! A free car park will also top off the matchday experience.

Chairman Tony Gale said: “I have lived in Elmbridge for 35 years and this is the most exciting football initiative I have come across. With the clubs’ Bostik League status, 500 strong youth section, disabled and ladies teams, I am proud to be a part of it.”

We would love to see you at our first game in the new ground, and welcome all new and returning supporters!
